One of the saddest losses ever; they were just hitting their stride when Shannon gimped out and had to bite it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway. One of the best dual guitar bands ever and arguably one of the most unsung and talented acts of the 90's.
Maybe they're recent reunion will bring back some old memories or make new ones. Probably the former and if we're lucky, the latter.
Anyway.
THIS BOOT is ABSOLUTELY FINE FINE FINE!
Fantastic audio quality, ready for hi-end gear ... no artifacts and a great mix level. "Change" is so so good ...
My inner audiophile is scratching his own belly (in a fond and loving way). ;-)
Thanks for this show mang! So fine.
BTW ... just wanted to add, I happened to see Blind Melon's last show, at a nightclub called "Numbers," here in Houston, TX.
ReplyDeleteMe and my bro noticed the show seemed forced and that the lead (shannon noon) was almost going through the motions; we both spoke of it after the show.
Funny thing is ... the show was still downright listenable and fun, but off in a wierd sort of "lets-get-this-over-with" kind of way.
The next morning we got news of his overdose (in Louisiana, I think?).
Nothing to be proud of really, seeing a dead performers last performance, but it's worth noting in the context of commentary around the particular recording available here at this blog (therefore the note).
Anyway ... again ... to any Melon fans ... you need to pick up this boot.
