  2. Gordon (aka "Gordy"), the Hips aged but energetic frontman (god bless him!) has a reputed habit of asking that clubs/venues shut off all air conditioning a couple hours before they take the stage ... supposedly to add to the cerebral yet carnal, base and ragged edge that so many of their live performances have become notorious for (listen to 'fight,' in this set!).

This recording captures that particularly special and oh so sweaty (maybe even intellectually manic?) vibe that the Hip brings to their live performances.

Like they want everyone to sweat blood and greasily comingle while they go about their very serious and well honed practice of waxing poetic and rocking.

(and sweet GOD! they do it so well)

    ;-)

They've given me the 2nd best live show I've ever had the opp to see personally ... and that's no small feat!

Download this set if you like Gordy and the Hip ... you won't be disappointed.

    (WHOOOO!!!)

BTW, TT ... keep up the good work!

    :-)
