Incredibly good sounding set of songs. Brief but outstanding. The Shins are quite the uber talented songwriters and they're even better for their dexterity and chops whether LIVE or in the studio.
Again, if your a headphone snob like myself [it's not my fault!] :-) ... then you'll be utterly pleased with the instrumentation and mix level on this set. BEAUTIFUL!
[the left channel acoustic guitar on 'comet' is just uncanny in it's detail]
Was just listening to this set for the second night in the row ...
Just wanted to say again ...
This is a hugely special set of songs for any Shins fans. Matter of fact ... I just made a note in my journal to include "A comet Appears" on my 2008 Xmas Mix CD (yes ... it's somewhat of a tradition).
^^^ FYI : That's a really big deal
