With Success Comes A Price

I received my first notice from a copyright holder to remove a post. King Crimson to be exact. It has me a little scared. I had assumed I was safe posting bootlegs. Now, maybe not. I removed the post. What do I do now? Shut down the blog? Try to take it private again? I may have a way, but it may crap out like the last time. Your thoughts? Insights? Ideas? Send me an email at blind-pig@live.com or leave a comment under any post.

Hello Out There

Man, visitors have been on the decrease lately. 400 less today. Either people have lives beyond downloading music or my deodorant isn't working. Not liking the post selections? Give me some input.

Dunno why you've had 400 fewer, I like the stuff you get. I have a full length SB boot of the Last Waltz. I could mail it to you

well, in terms of your posting they are very appealing. On the other hand, I am looking for Wilco, Bob Marley, and especially Elvis Costello from the beacon 7.10.06. that show with Allen and his crew just blew me away...

Loved the Derek & The Dominoes! Downloaded today the Oct 23rd show and will be downloading very shortly the oct 24th. The sound quality is just absurd! Tony, once again you have proven to be the Bwana Dik of live recording posts. Hail Bwana Dik! How about that Faces from the archives pre hacking post? The one that's not at the Paris Theatre. Still waiting and hoping for that one.

Shows are fine, keep 'em coming. Summer vacation is the problem, I haven't finished getting through my email inbox, let alone catching up with music blogs.
Thanks for your hard work. J

I think you've got a great website here. You can count on me to visit everyday. I love hearing all these classic rock artists live--brings back old memories when Rock N' Roll was actually good. Since you're asking for some input, I wouldn't mind seeing some good concerts from any of the following: Tom Petty, Bryan Adams, Aldo Nova, Asia, Pat Travers, Brother Cane, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Pink Floyd (soundboard, since there's already lots of AUD out there already), Great White, Journey, Kansas, Eddie Money, Robert Plant, Joe Walsh (looking for "Clown Prince - Live" or anything else), Styx. I have everything currently posted from your board (at least from any of the artists I've mentioned in this reply). I just started visiting about 6 weeks ago. Thanks again for a wonderful board.

So much music, so little time...
Don´t worry Tony, Subculture is a great blog and I'm sure a lot of people stop here everyday.
Thanks for Neil Young, Lou Reed, Derek & Dominos and many others.
Greetings from Brazil.

Thank you for sharing from your amazing collection of live bootlegs.

For me, the problem is SATURATION. Each day I find more music to download than I will ever have time to actually listen to. I regularly say to myself, "That looks interesting, but I've probably already heard something like it."

If I stopped downloading music today, I'd probably not finish listening to what I have downloaded in the past few months for SEVERAL YEARS. In one hour, I can find and download at least 24 hours of music, if not much more. (I have broad music tastes!)

There are only so many hours in the day, and I have other activities in my life!

Simply put, it's a problem of SATURATION.

Thanks again for all the entertaining shows!

Visitors are probably down 'cos it's summer, ppl going on vacation...

Thanks again for all the great shows that you post and for posting such a variety of artists... there's something for everyone on your blog.

Please keep up the great work and if you can ever get a hold of "Shoot Into The Light" a Peter Gabriel show from Manchester, UK 1980 (one of those remastered Genesis fan releases with the catalog# PRRP21), I would be eternally grateful.
