With Success Comes A Price

I received my first notice from a copyright holder to remove a post. King Crimson to be exact. It has me a little scared. I had assumed I was safe posting bootlegs. Now, maybe not. I removed the post. What do I do now? Shut down the blog? Try to take it private again? I may have a way, but it may crap out like the last time. Your thoughts? Insights? Ideas? Send me an email at blind-pig@live.com or leave a comment under any post.

It Just Pisses Me Off...Well...A Little Bit

I hate it when blogs put links in comments. What a hassle. Then, to add insult to injury,
they password protect the RAR files. So. I have to write down the password, or leave a window open. So here I am downloading a bunch of files. and I have to remember which password from which blog goes where. I mean..come...on. What is being protected here? Yeah. My life is rough people.

Well, I wondered that too, But was too afraid to ask! Or, Figured it was something simple I was overlooking...And I'd look Less Bright than I already am...

If you Password Protect it, then Give Out the Password???

A few years back, I learned this the "hard way" (couldn't extract several files), so my advise will be: always do a copy & paste of the URL from where you got the file! That will save you a lot of hassle :)

I also have a simpletext file where I keep passwords. But every once in a while, I forget to copy 'em over. It does drive me buggy. But then I figure I can complain and get a full refund, so I feel better.

Following up on Toxxy's comment.. I also copy/paste the page url, or the permanent link URL into a text file, along with the download link for each file.. then if I find out that a password is needed, I can find that page quickly and find the password.

This is absolutely true, and some bloggers even hide the link so you have to look for it, it´s like a game for them I think. Keep up the good work.
