With Success Comes A Price

I received my first notice from a copyright holder to remove a post. King Crimson to be exact. It has me a little scared. I had assumed I was safe posting bootlegs. Now, maybe not. I removed the post. What do I do now? Shut down the blog? Try to take it private again? I may have a way, but it may crap out like the last time. Your thoughts? Insights? Ideas? Send me an email at blind-pig@live.com or leave a comment under any post.

Hi, nice blog.
But why not just posting original lossless material when available instead posting lossy format.

It would be much more appreciated by real music lovers/collectors. We can always convert in lossy format when necessary for our own needs. Not a big deal. So please consider posting lossless material when possible. Thanks again in advance.

Here we go again (rolls eyes). I'm referring to the "anon" poster of course. Why can't they just be happy for the free music?? Do these people think everyone has the time to upload and download huge lossless files? Get a life Paul!

I agree with Skylark...it's free music for goodness sake! "Real music lovers/collectors" can go to swap meets, newsgroups, other blogs, or trade with others if they want lossless. I, for one, really appreciate all the music available here...especially because I can download it quickly! And yes, I consider myself a "real music lover/collector," even though I download blasphemous lossy files!
